The first of two par 5s which take you back to the Clubhouse. A good long straight drive down the centre left of the fairway will keep you away from the solitary bunker on the right. Resist the temptation to overcompensate for the proximity of the railway line on the right by pulling your tee shot to far left and therefore into the mounds. The ideal position is some 60 to 70 yards short of the mounds crossing the fairway which you now need to carry with your second shot. Aim slightly right of centre so as to open the green for your approach whilst also taking the two bunkers on the left out of play. A routine wedge onto this flattish green avoiding the greenside bunkers will set up a good chance of making a birdie on this penultimate hole. |
