Water hazards are defined by yellow stakes or lines. Lateral water hazards are defined by red stakes or lines.
Play is prohibited from any area marked as G.U.R. If a player's ball lies in such an area, or the area interferes with the player's stance or the area of the intended swing, the player MUST take relief as provided in Rule 25.1.
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions.
The remains of the cottage wall on the right of the 11th green are an integral part of the course.
All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable objects and relief from interference by them may be obtained. In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief without penalty as follows:
If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which
(a) is not nearer the hole
(b) avoids such intervention and
(c) is not a hazard or on a putting green
(a) 100/150/250 yard markers are immovable obstructions and relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 24-2.
(b) Man made paths are obstructions and relief may be taken in occordance with Rule 24-2.
(c) The marker post on the 18th hole is an immovable obstructionand relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 24-2.
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance ONLY.
