Visitors are welcome to S.A.O.L. throughout the year, with the course very rarely affected by the weather conditions. There is a subtle magnetism about S.A.O.L. which most golfers have experienced and acknowledged. Perhaps the real explanation is the atmosphere of the hospitality that presents the whole Club like a good humoured giant which gracefully seizes you warmly by the hand as you arrive.
LEISURELY WINING AND DINING AT OLD LINKS
From a crispy Bacon Barmcake or Golfers Lunch on the daily snack menu, to a succulent Carvery dinner, to a five course Banquet function, we cater for all tastes in our First Floor Dining Room with breathtaking views of the golf course and the Irish Sea. A friendly welcome awaits you in the Bar as does a selection of our discerning wines, spirits and beers, all at competitive prices.
Catering is available from 9.00am to 5.00pm, 7 days a week, with these hours extended when required for visiting golfers or private functions. When enjoying the delights of our Dining area, which caters for parties up to 120, you will be surrounded by over 100 years of golfing history whilst enjoying your selection from our menus.
FUNCTIONS AND EVENTS
For smaller parties up to 25 people, why not book our private Ashton Room and our experienced Caterer will be pleased to discuss your specific requirements from the wide selection of buffets and menus to suit your budget.
For larger parties up to 120 people, whether it is a birthday celebration, a christening, wedding reception or anniversary, we will provide you with the full dining experience to make your day memorable, including a Toastmaster! The Dining Room and adjoining Lounge benefits from a permanent dance floor, but a portable version is available for a more flexible layout.
MEETINGS WITH A DIFFERENCE
You do not need to be golfers to take advantage of our facilities. St Annes Old Links provides a delightful and central location for your daytime or evening meeting, conference or presentation. There could be many occasions when you would prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of a traditional hotel venue - so your delegates could enjoy the view of the course and the pleasant surroundings of the Clubhouse would provide a tranquil atmosphere to allow for the concentration desired on such occasions.
We have three rooms available, accommodating from 20 in boardroom style to 80 theatre style, whilst the flexibility of the area allows you to design your own layout. Wifi, Video / CD’s & DVD’s; plus overhead presentation equipment can be made available as part of the package, together with catering options. An administrative support function is also available, including photocopying.
